Beautiful Sugar Bowl Antique from Sthål, 8.5 cm, from the lovely Arabesque series.

The name arabesque comes from French and means Arabic. It is also a specific artistic expression featuring looping patterns of plants, leaves, and streams. All pieces are made from white stoneware clay fired at very high temperatures, making the ceramics durable. The beautiful glazes are carefully chosen to make food look appetizing.

The craftsmanship, in combination with the clay and glaze, has a life of its own, giving each individual item a unique appearance. No two pieces are exactly alike, but the relationship is clear.
